Cass Wagner's Art Biography
I was born in ( USA ) Pennsylvania just out side Philadelphia on June 23, 1983 and spent the first few years of my life there, living with my parents and older sister. When I was about 6 in a half, my parents and I moved to Minnesota just out side of the Twin Cites. I had left everything I ever knew behind, even my older sister who felt it would be best to say in PA. I started school at my new home but felt a huge void in my heart. I didn't have many friends and school was very boring to me. It was then I occupied my life with art, doing anything I could to be creative. I've been drawing, sculpting, and painting to pass time on weekends ever since. Eventually my talent grew and it took notice in school. In the 6th grade I really started to take my art seriously, learning how to shade and color, you know the basics. My middle School days were mostly finding what I liked to do best. Then in the beginning of 9th grade I found that I loved to sculpted, anything to do that was in 3D. But as I grew as an artist I found that 2D can be just as enjoyable. By the end of my 11th grade year I could just about anything in the art room at my high school. Now I'm 18 years old and comfortable to show off my work, my love with other people. This year I'm president of the "National Art Honor Society" at my school and I plan on going on in the arts post high school, although I'm not so sure what right now.
Why so many drawings of animals?
Because I love wildlife! If art were my first love, then wildlife would be my seconded. Especially wild cats. Any lions, cheetahs, leopards, tigers, pumas….ex. I love!! There personalities I admire so much and their so beautiful to draw. One day I wish to go to Africa and see them in their natural habitat along with many other native animals. Anyone have a free ticket on hand????
